SANDWORK
Artist: Brian Wilson
Thursday 8/7 4-7pm

In this project, Brian Wilson, a sculptor, photographer and professor at Bently College explores the relationship our society has with sand.  The sculptures created for this installation combine glass and concrete, two building materials that have very different surfaces, but are derived from the same silicon base material.  Beautifully echoing familiar architectural forms, the simple but monumental sensibility of each piece reveals the tension between beauty, form, environmental degradation, and our relationship with finite resources. The diptych series of images help to illustrate the human impact on the environment.
GRADIENT OF MOVING IMAGES

Join us for the exciting curatorial debut of Stephanie Williams in bringing together four nationally and internationally emerging artists to discover an exploration of time, through sound, images, videos and movement in this innovative and thought provoking installation.
Tejido Vivo / Living Weave
Corina S. Alvarezdelugo and Mariana Paz
Gallery RAG’s Desala Residency Fellows
Thursday 8/21  4-7pm

Join us on Thursday night at Gallery RAG to experience the first ever collaborative art installation and performance by Mariana Paz and Corina S. Alvarezdelugo, winners of the 2025 Desala Residency Fellowship sponsored by the Art+Everywhere Foundation.  They will explore the intersection of performance, contemporary art, and communal memory.  Corina’s woven, mixed media objects and textiles reference the craft-making lineages of her Venezuelan ancestors, evoking early childhood memories. Her work acts as both talisman and guide.  Mariana is known for her warm, intimate, lyrical performances that generously offer spaces of rest, renewal and joy.  She will be wearing and performing with custom made textiles created especially for the installation.  Please come and share stories and laughter over good food and drink.

The Desala Residency is the beginning of an International Residency Program initiated through the Art+Everywhere Foundation linking Norway, Arkansas, and Gloucester MA. The residency is named in honor of Laurie Frigolletto and Sarah Selden, our most beloved art supporters!
